Note: Make sure you install the suggested Python and wxPython versions. Use the links below. Later versions of Python and wxPython may not run as expected.

Step 1: Install Python

Download the and install Python Interpreter. Choose a version that matches your operating system:

• Python 2.5 (Windows)
• Python 2.5 (Windows Itanium64)

Step 2: Install wxPython

Download and install the wxPython extension module. Choose a version that matches your operating system:

• wxPython 2.8 (Windows 32 and 64 bit)
• wxPython 2.8 (Mac Intel)
• wxPython 2.8 (Mac PPC)
• wxPython 2.8 (Fedora ansi RPM)
• wxPython 2.8 (Fedora unicode RPM)

Step 3: Install OpenRPG

Download the OpenRPG package of your choice. All packages contain the same code.

• OpenRPG 1.7.3 (windows installer)
• OpenRPG 1.7.3 (zip)
• OpenRPG 1.7.3 (gz)
  
  

Step 4: Run OpenRPG!

Start OpenRPG by executing start.py.

• Windows: If you used the windows installer, a shortcut should be in your start menu. Otherwise double click start.py.
• Unix/Linux: Execute start.py. Make sure you use python2.2! For example:

  $ python2 start.py
