Yeah, TWD finally put into paper how to live during a zombie apocalypse. They are making the show and it should be on AMC this fall.
I always find it better, and a lot funnier, when PC's are shooting the zombies a few times and blasting their legs and arms off, and they keep crawling until that sweet surprise shot takes them out. I guess I can add some bonuses if you already have the occult zombies on your character that can increase the likelihood you roll the the location number, but you still need to roll randomly. Once you discover this, then you wont need to roll anymore unless you shoot an unaimed shot, or shoot wild.
It's more fun when players discover things, especially when it comes to zombie behavior.

Fair enough, this shall be done in the spirit of zombie movies afterall, where none of the main cast watch any zombie movies.

Should be mayhem gaming server if its up. If not, just check around other servers for something with the AFMBE title to it, I will have my name attached to the ZM title. I am logging in now.

This is Irene from the game!
I was curious if anyone would mind playing on Mondays instead of Tuesday. The DM will have to change the game from Tuesdays to Mondays due to school in a few weeks and I was much hoping that it would be sooner rather than later in order to get into the habit.
The game would start at the same time (8 PM EST or 7 PM CST) but on a Monday

Games will be held on mondays at 8pm est on maptools using the Savage Worlds rule set. I need to know who is and is not still interested due to the changes in schedule, system, and program so I can re-recruit. You do not need to know the system, I can convert them to unisystem, and you can use the additional xp pts awarded to purchase new skills or edges (like a qualities in unisystem, but also has combat abilitites very similar to dnd feats). You dont need to know the rules, its pretty much a trait (skill or attribute) that is a die type (example str is d8) with a usual target number of 4, unless its a resisted roll or broken down to melee combat. This uses a tn to hit similar to dnd, like fighting vs hit number of parry, which will speed up combat (it also has rules similar to opportunity attack, flanking, as in dnd).
Savage Worlds is similar to unisystem with its generic freedom to run with any genre, it also promotes fast gameplay. Its also an easy system to pick up. The only difference is that it is more fleshed out in terms of rules, has better and more options for mass combat (which I wanted to do in the beginning but couldnt do due to the slow combat we were experiencing). I cant keep putting one or two zombies to fight you, that doesnt fit the genre in my mind. Also, search rolls, allies rolls (allies will be other survivors you meet and befriend in your travels), and mass combat would benefit this game.
I will be taking more creative control in the game then in the last few games. And everything will be mapped out, meaning supermarkets will be mapped out, highways, homes, malls, etc. If i dont have it saved and prepared in advance, I will square it up and make it as we go (like in face to face dnd sessions with water soluable markers).
You can send me a private message or email to let me know your status in this game. If I lose a large portion of the group, I will instead re-recruit to run the Zombie Run adventure for Savage Worlds, which has you hiding out in a post rise scenario in nyc (that means the zombies are everywhere already and you are hiding out in a small building in manhattan, nyc) with the intentions of going cross country from NYC to Arizona to reach what might be the last bastion of humanity left.

Edges are like dnd feats. You get them from your hindrances (one major, or two minor= 1 edge). No supernatural edges, or powers, but any and all combat edges are allowed (some edges from other books are allowed, but I have to check them to see if they fit in the genre).
