Post Recruiting: Villians And Vigilantes: Otherworlders SundayPM
In honor of Monkey House Games' re-release of Villians and Viglantes, I am looking to start a new V&V Open RPG game.

Game will be on Sunday nights 7PM to 10 or 11 EST.

Character will be self-based in the V&V tradition.

You will roll 3 random power sets.

The group will be sent on missions similar to the Exiles from Marvel comics; you will be travelling various different alternate universes attempting to "fix" breaks in the timelines. I anticipate each mission will take 2-4 sessions to complete.

After each mission briefing, you will choose one of the 3 power sets to take on and will play that mission with that power set. If you want to keep using the same power set over and over that's fine, but you'll always have the option to switch in between missions and try something different.

I'm looking for 5-6 players. At least 4 players will have to show up for me to run each session. If Sundays 7-11 pm EST isn't good for you, please do not sign up.

The first session will be introduction to the "Boss" and creation of characters' power sets.

"Welcome to the Morgue. Your old lives are over, but the good news is, you get a choice in this next life. Step off the path three times and you'll have your choices."

A little more background info:

The Morgue is an interdimensional fortress run by an entity called "The Witness". Witness believes that the multiverse has been damaged, and has unsuccessfully made recruiting attempts to fix it. He decided rather than merely recruiting existing heroes (or villians, a tragic story for another time) to fix it, he would find a way to gain the abilities of the greatest champions and scourges of the multiverse and solve the problem himself.

He gathered the dna and equipment of deceased heroes and villians from around the multiverse in secret and brought them to an uninhabited universe, constructing a massive device capable of extracting the powers of these beings and bestowing these abilities onto others. As usual with mad schemes for power, something went wrong. The device was flawed, or he miscalculated the effects recombining so many different dna samples would have. In either case, he became trapped, confined to this universe. He was able to watch the other universes, and even bring beings or pieces of those universes to him, but could no longer travel the multiverse.

Frustration subsiding into determination over decades, he began to examine what went wrong with the device. After a hundred years of research, he discovered that the flaw was a result of the damage done to the mutliverse, and the only way to correct it was to repair the damaged universes.

With some modification, he was able to get the device to work on others in a limitted fashion. It could bestow the abilities of up to three of the Morgue's files on any one individual before they became permanently stuck in the Morgue universe as he was. Furthermore, combining more than one file caused a temporary universal fixation, stranding the subject in the Morgue Universe unil the abilities were stripped down to a maximum of one file.

Witness has deduced that once the multiversal damage is repaired, the device will work properly and the ability files will be able to be permanently encoded on the subjects.

So, his proposal is: Help him repair the Multiverse, and he'll restore you to your home universe with the powers and equipment of three of the multiverse's finest.
