A couple of things I want to do during or before next session:

Enchant my staff to a +1, this should take one day in a appropriately civilized town.
Pick up a lead lined Chest and a Superior lock, I need 25 gold to Arcane Lock the chest, but it should help hide and secure the tentacle.
Place a Glyph of Warding on the Chest holding the tentacle, this costs 200 gold, equal shares from all party members please.
Enchant the Rogue's weapons with Rune of hardening, it doubles their hit points permanently, useful against sundering.
Trade the Camels for Mules if we are getting out of the desert.

Eventually I will use stone shape to bury the chest in the foundation of the dungeon, but putting it in a warded chest and locking it as much as possible is about my limit at this point.

I can make rings now so if anyone wants a minor ring I can take another day or two for you.

Only thing that I would probably consider is a Hat of Disguise, since someone mentioned me not being able to wear one in the session. 900gp, should not take long at all to make either. Can you craft that in the time allotted?

Would that hat grant me the ability to 'hide' the horns? Might help when dealing with people...

it would cost you 915 (I need to buy the spell and spend an hour copying it to my spellbook) and take one day, and it would allow you to appear to be any medium humanoid race, so yes it would hide the horns.

So does this mean we have a few days downtime in that last city we just spent the night in? Might help with me looking into the libraries for dungeons of legend, to see where best to hide this thing, if options were still needed.

I think dungeon might be decided on IC, but there's always more goodies to learn about in the libraries. Like maybe getting a jumpstart on the destroying the tentacle part of the plan.

The closest thing I could find to an authoritative source for the price of lead sheets was Aurora's Catalog. 5 square inches of lead sheeting costs 5 cp. So we are going to say 5 silver for the lead lining (really useful) because I don't want to do the math for a total of 377 gold 5 silver for a chest that is lead lined, wizard locked, warded with a glyph of warding and locked with a superior lock.

Or 94 gold, 3 silver, and 7 copper each.

Just a warning, but I may be travelling on Saturday, and might miss the session. I am working at a different site this week, and travel time back home is about 8 hour drive, which I would make either Saturday or Sunday. Depends on when I get done. Just a warning for now, and I will keep you all in the loop.

thanks!
