I may be running a SR4 game on OpenRPG that will require at least 4 players with a maximum of 5. I have played several SR4 games in the past and have found them enjoyable and challenging. They require a certain creativity and strategy that I feel other games lack. Unfortunately, very few SR4 games are running on OpenRPG. As such, I thought it would be good to start my own. Disclaimer, I haven't GMed a SR4 game before, but I know the rules well. I aim for a story-driven game that is not combat-focused (but is nonetheless a major element). Thus, I'd like players who are competent roleplayers.
One rule I would like to implement is a 20 second combat move rule to speed up game play. I noticed in the past, SR4 games tend to get bogged down in combat due to slow responses which are magnified by the resolution of so many dice rolls. Combat would often take an hour for a 5 minute encounter. In the interest of realism and flow, this rule should help to mitigate cumbersome combat slowdowns. IF a player takes longer than 20 seconds to articulate his move and roll the dice, the player would simply lose his turn (but can take a full defense instead) due to slow thinking and/or combat paralysis.
Other then that, standard CharGen and game rules would apply and it may or may not be a one-shot depending on player dynamics and story flow. I prefer people with a strong grasp of the SR4 rules, but no past experience is required. All books are allowed to be used but mutations/races of the like found in Runner's Companion are disallowed. All characters must have at least a 2 paragraph background for their character and bonus Karma up to 5 will be awarded for good/excellent backgrounds.
Game will probably be set on a Saturday afternoon (12pm PST to 4pm PST perhaps... maybe longer), but date/times are flexible. However, I will not be able to start a game after 7pm PST on any day.
Please post in here if you are interested and which role/race you would like to play. Slots become filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, but I reserve the right to pick players in the interests of a well-rounded party.
If anyone lacks resources to play the game but is interested in playing, PM me. I'm also open to any questions.
EDIT: To those interested in playing, please fill in your availabilities here

Please keep in mind that the times you post for each day (Mon, Tues etc.) are the typical availabilities for that day and not just for next week.
