Rifts is a combination of fantasy and sci fi set in a post WW 3 earth that is now home to demons and monsters and such that have humanity fighting to survive.

I like it a lot, it has robots, powered armor, wizards, vampires, hell you name it, it has it.

Problem you are going to run into is there aren't many games in the middle of the night PST, most games are set in the evenings and run on a regular basis instead of a pick up basis. There is GT's game though, which is run on a pick up basis on the Mayhem server. You might give that a shot.

The Rifts setting is super fun, but the system is clunky and a huge pain in the ass. I can not stress enough, though, how supremely awesome the actual setting itself is.
That being said, my suggestion is Savage Worlds. It's such an amazingly simple yet well conceived system that lets you play damn near anything. Plus, the core book is like 15 bucks, tops? (Got mine for 10). You can't beat that with a stick.

I'll second that (love Rifts, hate Palladium system). Savage Worlds is great. Fast, simple, fun.

Mongoose RuneQuest II and Barbarians of Lemuria are 2 of the best fantasy and sword & sorcery systems I've seen.

Mutants & Masterminds 3e is best supers game overall.

We could use a couple more players in our Middle Earth Roleplaying game (MERP 2e). Check out our thread here in the forum. We even have our own internet radio station for our game soundtrack we use during the game, we supply you with the game PDF since it is out of print and will help you easily learn the game. We will even help you roll a character or make one for you based on your preferences.

I will casually suggest A Song of Ice and Fire from Green Ronin... but to be fair I've never played it, just dying to try.
