The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
1357.989M41 Briefing: (Tour of Orpheus Sailent) Location of Original Briefing: Room V212; Watch Fortress Erioch Conducted by: Watch Captain Battle-Brother Servais Attended by: Squad 2 Company Servais and Rune Priest Battle-Brother Erik Overview: Conflicts in the Orpheus Sailent (Rimward of the Jericho Reach) with Splinter Hive Fleet Dagon and the Achilus Crusade of the Imperial Forces has caused reason for our presence. Company Servais is being sent to monitor forward reaches of the Orpheus. Two squads (the 1st and 2nd) will be in the region until further notice. Transportation will be provided by “Thunder’s Word.” Training will continue on the ship once we depart from Erioch. Based on recent data, (1st Squad) Sailent Stalkers will be conducting a mission on Planet Vanir. 2nd Squad will continue to train and be ready for either support of the first squad or any other incoming missions. While on reserve 2nd squad should be battle ready.
3505.989M41 Briefing: (while between the Vanir and Castolel systems) Location: Meeting room of the Thunder’s Word edge of Vanir System Situation: Sailent Stalkers have been planet side for nearly 3 weeks. Ship is staying away from the conflicts of the Vanir System. Attended by: Squad 2 Company Servais and Rune Priest Battle-Brother Erik. Conducted by: Watch Captain Battle-Brother Servais Overview: Thunder’s Word has gotten request from a small contingent of Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis, they are on the satellite planet of Tantalus in the Castolel system. Castolel is fighting a fierce battle with the Tyranids, while the moon itself is nearly lost. The Adeptus Mechanicus on Tantalus became trapped on the planet during the intial raid of the Xenos. They have valuable data about Hive-Fleet Dagon. The data includes information on the bio-forms and attack patterns of this hive-fleet. The information may prove invaluable to the war in the Orpheus Salient and must be claimed by the Deathwatch at whatever cost. We are to maneuver Thunder’s Word as not to be dected by the orbiting bio-ships. The surviving Adeptus mechanicus Biologis will attempt to ride a shuttle past orbit and link up with our ship. Your duties is to be ready for any signs of trouble. With the Blessing of the Emperor we should not have much problems with staying undetected and receiving our precious cargo, yet as always stay alert incase.

Mission Briefing: (First Mission) Location: Meeting Room of Thunder’s Word; nearing Tantalus Briefing By: Watch Captain Battle-Brother Servais Attendants: 2nd Squad Company Servais Briefing: It seems that the small contingent of Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis has suffered more losses, only one survives. Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis Vyakai. Their shuttle will not be able to reach orbit. So 2nd squad you are being sent down via Drop Pod. This is an emergency extraction, Magos Biologis Zardos Vyakai has crashed landed near a refinery in the northern sub-artic zone of Tantalus (an industrial moon). You must retrieve the datacore belonging to Magos Vyakai. If possible, extract the Magos himself. (Primary and Secondary objectives respectively) On landing you have 5 hours to accomplish the mission after that large swarm of Tyranids will reach the refinery and chances of survival for anyone on the ground will be slimmer than traversing the warp by sight. Once the objectives are achieved or time is out, the Kill-teams will gain high ground and the leader will activate the extraction beacon. A modified thunderhawk will brave the tempest in the atmosphere and retrieve the you. Tyranid harbinger and vanguard organisms are expected to be in the area already—they are hazardous in the exteme. Imperial survivors may be in the area, either as remnants of the refinery’s personal, or others fleeing ahead of the swarm. They should be considered expendable, the Emperor have mercy on their souls. Y our team will have to prove that you can make it for you have 30 requisition points each. Before departure study the map provided of the area via orbital pic. The leader must designate a landing zone based on the map. The leader will be given the extraction beacon and the map of the area via dataslate map-image (only holds the map, no room for more data). Double standard issue for the main weapon of each Battle-Brother. Thunder’s Word will hold a perilous orbit above the area, evading detection by Tyranid destructor- organisims, and will remain so until extraction is needed, when it will break cover to effect a rescue. Please note: Do to the Xenos Vox transmissions have been difficult to receive or send. Take note that scanners may not function on ground and that vox communication into orbit is not stable.
2nd Squad meeting is yours. I expect for the team to have a leader and be fully equipped in the ASAP. Take your oath and be ready to succeed in the name of the Emperor, your chapter, and Deathwatch.

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
I shall wait for everyone else to vote but as for what i am taking. I shall requisition a missile launcher and 2 flash nades and 1 stun nade.
So it says i get the standard issue ammo for free for the missile launcher which are frag and krak missles.
Oh and howmuch is standard ammunition do we get?

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
Right, firstly, I would like to put myself forward for squad leader in this mission
Also, I think either myself or Brother Tiberius should take a flamer, I took bolter mastery so unless he did I'd suggest he carries the special weapon on this one.
An alternative would be for our devestator to take a heavy flamer, unless you definately want to go for the missile launcher.

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
Well i can drop the stun nade and then each of us can like throw in 5 req for the heavy flamer than i can carry that along with missle launcher. I really took it because i have unrelenting devastation and that will really help when taking on hordes.

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
As far as Standard Ammo for this mission.
Main Weapon(player may have a choice between Bolter or Bolt Pistol) will be 6 clips (standard Ammo).
For, Devastator Marines (they will be issued a second box of rounds for heavy bolter, best if someone carries this second ammo supply for heavy bolter. (It takes an extended action to replace backpack ammo; 5 minutes by himself or 1 minute with assistance).
Standard Issue for Missile Launcher will be (backpack feeder attachment if player has backpack ammo supply) 3 Frag Missiles and 3 Krak Missiles.

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
Standard Ammo Continued:
Any other standard issue weapons that use clips will have a total of 3 clips for those weapons.
So, if you have both a Bolter and Bolt Pistol, then one would receive 6 clips and the other would have 3 clips of regular bolt shells.

Re: The Jericho Reach Campaign: Mission Briefings
If a Devastator Trades up for a heavy flamer, then that will replace the Heavy Bolter and they would then get an extra supply for when the heavy flamer runs out of ammo from the Ammo Supply backback the first time. (This is also called a Double Load for main weapons)

Brother Monastica nominates the Witch for Squad Leader.
I'd also be willing to spend some of my 30 req on a flamer, perhaps.
