Setting: Genim City
System: CyberPunk 2020
Server: Blackstar Server
Meeting: Once a week (Tuesday) for a few hours
Time: 8:00pm Eastern (as of now)

The game will require only a minimum amount of players (3-4). The game circles around 'Branch' a small and secretive group with-in Law Enforcement who takes on the more interesting cases of the future. Generally dealing with out of control robots, clever hackers, malicious Mafias and corrupt politicians. The game would take place in the fictional city, Genim. A bustling Metropolis, much like night city of the America’s, also the newest and fastest growing city in Japan. Genim lays just south of Tokyo on the Izu Peninsula it also contains the only road into Geonosis Island which played a big part in the cities quick growth. As a growing center of pharmaceutical and technological advancement it also breeds corruption and crime, all in the name of progress.

I already have two people committed to the game. Most likely the games will start at 8 o'clock eastern but maybe not. I wanna keep each session to about 2 to 3 hours. I also have a set of boards set up for house ruling, discussion, story telling and maybe some pbp in between sessions.

Just fyi, I might have to drop out depending on what my new semester schedule ends up being.

I am certainly interested in this. I have not played Cyberpunk before, but have played Shadowrun a few times and have been involved in a few PbP campaigns. I also have not used OpenRPG before, but that shouldn't be too bad. I have read the Mirrorshades and Rewired anthologies and a lot of other cyberpunk fiction. I learn quickly. What role would the GM like filled most? Starting in January sounds perfect.

Great to hear from you Anparks - Its a sort of detective story and the other two players have yet to choose from either Cop or Detective SA's which will be needed (Don't know why everyone is obsessed with Solo even without fixed skill sets any other character can be just as good in combat). If you need a copy of CyberPunk 2020 let me know, Also I sent a PM to you with the link to the Forums we use - A character Creation post is in the 'System' link titled 'Let It Begin'

I can go Cop/Netrunner easily still if you'd rather. That's not a problem.

I'm a fan of letting everyone do their own thing - which is kinda another reason i opted for two classes each it. But I think I must require that these 3 classes (Netrunner, Cop, & Detective) be assigned in some way. So if you take on Netrunner and Cop than between Tori and Anparks will have to choose Detective.

Also, If you would like, Lando - I would allow you (with those class roles) to be a 'Boomer' Issued to Branch. You would kinda be the Detectives personal security escort but the normal character creation rules wouldn't apply to you. Its an option - if your interested let me know and we will talk more about it.

I love CP2020 and am definately down to dust off my book and get back into it. Let me know if you still have room.
