Re: OpenRPG 2.0 = Web 2.0
sorry, but i don't know English very good -
so - sadly - don't understand what
you wrote about
i'v made one post before that - with more
targeted suggestions on Python XMPPs and others
with links , but when i returned - i cant see it
so i posted more generous post , and this time it
seems to be posted )
in topic - i'v found that , maybe ,
http://pygowave.net/and
upcoming open-source Google Wave
implementation, could work too, more info on
http://www.waveprotocol.org/On my other questions -
I seemply need reference for
succesful combining some open-free
web map building software with dice systems,
character creation set and some chat - social
system..
Only I'v seen -
http://www.spaceopera.org/MapToolsFrontEnd/but it's not working at the moment, and seems -
like not going in any time soon.
WEB 2.0(non ext-plugins downloadable, even for IE8-) tech would be great, but if there is only chance for JAVA-HTML5-... -- it would fit my needs too..
As i would say for sure - there is parts of whole system
in opensource that- with proper combining would do the job - very nice,
but I'm - simple player-GM - with some IT skills
and basic Python programming exp.
maybe - that could be helpful - but - in other existing techs like JS - Java - i' m complete noob, so - can't
do the job just by myself,
Overall - it would be very cool to see whole
OpenRPG with web-browser client, i like it as
it is - but - i think - MapTools have a big potential and
future in web browsers and so - by growing supporting community and OpenRPG - won't make it - good
if there won't be browser client.
If there is possibility to make web client of OpenRPG
i need to know - where are problems in doing
such a thing -- as i see -- it can be possible if integrate
OpenRPG with some python web framework(there are TONS, you know) and writing some nice JS over it..
am i wrong?
