Post Picture load Fail
When using openRPG i am finding none of the pictures are loading at all. When placing a miniature down on the screen it remains as "fetching" for the entirity of the game ... the little run box says its unable to resolve / open specified file.. however i am the only one in the game with the problem. Ive reinstalled 4 times and nothing has happened so anyone know a fix for this?

I still don't understand how this became the defacto first line for support.

Anyway .. on to the problem. My first guess ... you are trying to load them from your hard drive. Am I correct?

ooooh! Guess the error. I am going to say it's a URL but his operating system is Linux / Ubuntu.

Back in the day (3-4 years ago before we took over daily operations) the answer to every bad bug was "try reinstalling" and they also suggested using a registry cleaner program. It used to drive me nuts too (I didn't read the threads live but a year or two later). But it often worked back then. Thank god these days OpenRPG is much more stable but the bad news is re-installing rarely fixes anything unless your Python / wxPython is incompatible or the bug is only found in one fork and you're installing the other fork -- in which case I would recommend installing BOTH not uninstalling one.

It really needs to stop being the recommendation. It rarely works any more and it makes OpenRPG look really bad, especially when it turns out to be some easy to fix problem.

Well it isn't around here, but I don't know if there are other forums sometimes offering advise on OpenRPG. Perhaps some old Google caches.

BTW thanks for all your work on the tech support. Went away for the weekend and got back to find a rash of Qs. Hadn't had anything in days....
