OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
hello. I just found about this program, and i decided to use it. I installed it on Windows 7.I followed this: http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/openr ... _Vista_x64it worked. the updater started. It updated normally. After the updater it wanted to start. gave me an error. Code: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\tools\decorators.py", line 106, in new_func return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\main.py", line 1307, in AfterSplash self.frame = orpgFrame(None, wx.ID_ANY, CLIENT_STRING) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\tools\decorators.py", line 106, in new_func return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\main.py", line 121, in __init__ self.build_gui() File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\tools\decorators.py", line 106, in new_func return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\main.py", line 731, in build_gui self.build_window(c, self) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\tools\decorators.py", line 106, in new_func return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\main.py", line 867, in build_window wx.DefaultSize) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\tools\decorators.py", line 106, in new_func return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\chat\chatwnd.py", line 332, in __init__ orpgTabberWnd.__init__(self, parent, True, size=size, style=FNB.FNB_DROPDOWN_TABS_LIST|FNB.FNB_NO_NAV_BUTTONS|FNB.FNB_MOUSE_MIDDLE_CLOSES_TABS) File "C:\Users\Public\OpenRPG\orpg\orpg_windows.py", line 95, in __init__ 'slanted&colorful': FNB.FNB_VC8|FNB.FNB_COLORFUL_TABS, AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'FNB_COLORFUL_TABS'
I reinstalled it. Gave it Administrator right for everything. same error. Tried Traipse. Unziped, setup.py done. I want to start it. Updater start. Updated. the OpenRPG image shows, than nothing. Nothing at all. Help please.

Re: OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
There is a problem with a recent update, I am inclined to believe. A Windows update. The easiest way is to edit the orpg_windows.py file and delete the two instances of Code: |FNB.FNB_COLORFUL_TABS This will work on both Traipse and the Gilcrease release.

Re: OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
I have this same problem. It worked the first time I did it, but I reinstalled it after the Background images wouldn't load onto the map, and I messed with the background handler file, so I wanted to get the original files back. I erased those instances in the file, but, the orpg_windows file is always being reverted back, after I open traipse, and it's stopping at the splash image.
Here's my system info, if that helps: OpenRPG System Info 06-05-10 OpenRPG Version: 1.8.0 OpenRPG Build: 100505-00 Python: 2.6.5 (r265:79096, Mar 19 2010, 21:48:26) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] wxPython Version: 2.8.11.0 Platform: Windows-post2008Server-6.1.7600
Also, if anyone has any help for the second problem: the background image not loading, I'd appreciate that as well, if it happens again.

Re: OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
Did you turn Auto Updates on? Then turn them off. There is no other reason why your files would continue to revert.

Re: OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
Alright, how do I do that, since It doesn't show an update screen, since it's auto-updating and all?

Re: OpenRPG wont start on Windows 7
aha, I jumped the gun. Easy.
Find your System/upmana folder and either delete it (it will respawn on startup), or edit it in a text editor and turn auto update off.
