Where's the 4e love? Everyone's still playing 3 or 3.5? Well look no further. After a long hiatus away from OpenRPG, I've got a big craving to run a 4e game, so here goes:
I'm a long time GM/DM/player for a lot of games, though I'm still learning some of the nuances to 4e. I typically create my own worlds to play in but don't mind if you use other sourcebooks for your characters. The setting will be primarily an Elvish/Eladrin part of the world but all races and classes are welcome. I'd prefer characters come with some small story as to how they got there (3-5 sentences, nothing exceptional).
As far as scheduling goes, I'm looking at a week night after 8PM EST. Probably once or twice a week and starting as soon as we have enough players.
I'll be around tonight on Blackstar, in my own room, if anyone wants to discuss specifics. Reply here or to bakonon@gmail.com if you're interested and want to play. I'll update this thread once the ball gets rolling.
UPDATE:
We met on Thrusday 11/18 for a bit of discussion about the campaign and launched into a short prelude, where the characters were contracted to be forward scouts of an escort party for some Eladrin Royals on their way to the Elven capitol of Elenion. We'll recap the prelude and add in any additional characters on Tuesday 11/23 at 8:30PM EST. At the request of a player, I'll probably be moving the game to Wednesdays there-after as that seems to work for everyone. The characters so far are:
Pipgar Lightfoot: Halfling Rogue (Martial Striker, Melee)
Zalgradis Stoutarm: Human Runepriest (Divine Leader, Melee)
Kendar Jaxx: Elf Ranger (Martial Striker, Ranged)

We're now full. 3 new characters bring us up to 6 and the maximum. The party now includes:
Jak: Minotaur Paladin
Adrie: Elf Seeker
Merro: Human Fighter
We'll also be moving to Wednesdays, so our next session will be on 12/1 at 8:30 PM EST. We will be using Skype, so if you'd like to lurk, please have your skype information ready. If anyone would like to be put on a waiting list in case we have characters drop and need to replace them, please let me know. After the holidays, I may consider running a second game, so be on the look out in late January.
