Looking for Players for a Middle Earth game. I am really interested in playing it out using either MERP or the Decipher set of rules (leaning towards MERP due to the way it captured the world). I would be open to explaining the system to anyone who is unfamiliar with it or wants to know more. MERP is one of the most detailed (read deep and complicated) systems that are around so this game is not suggested for newbies to RP. Email me if you are interested and we can discuss our plans from there! |

I own MERP/RM and have run it on OpenRPG before and pbp. I even have a pc node I made. I would definitely play. |

Sup Lando, Love to have you, as I know you are a great player! I miss playing CP2020 with you, even though you did shoot me in the back. Anyhow, you have any idea on what you want to play? I may take this to a full blown RMSS or RMC game since it gives more options! |

I'd like to know the Age/era you intend to set the game in and what lvl? I am open to anything, but I lean towards Mages or the like. I can do Rangers or Warriors too. I'd probably play Dunedian or Noldor Elf if I go mage or ranger. If I do warrior straight up, might go for Durin's Folk. The game I am trying to run pbp is set in SA 2002 after the fall of Minias Ithil and the return of Sauron from the fall of Numenor. That has a lot of high adventure. |

If you went RMSS with it, and the time was good, I'd be all over it! |

I think I am going RMSS, since it gives the best options. The starting level is 1. As for time/day, i can do almost any day (except Thursday nights, as I have a game then). If it is on Sat-Wed then it has to be after 10 pm EST as I get off work then (actually i live in MST and get off at 8). I would be keen to run it on Friday nights if that works for everyone involved at say 5 MST (that would be 7 EST). |

I have a game I run Fri at 9 pm est, so I'm probably out then if you go Friday. I could do Sat night, but 10 pm est is pretty late, so I will likely only be able to play until 1 am or so at the latest. I'm free Tues/Sat/Sun at the moment, but ideally I'd like to play in the 7/8 pm est til 11/12 pm est.. but could swing 1 am est on Sat night. |

Sounds good to me, if everyone else is okay with it! |

Well if you got enough players I'd like to start crafting a pc. So what guidelines you using beyond 1st lvl pcs, RMSS/MERP 2nd edition and set shortly after the end of the War of the Ring, T.A 3020? |

I am pretty loose with what you do for your PC. We are going to be running in the area around the Fangorn/Rohan for background. The PCs are going to be travelers that have gotten sucked into a greater adventure, helping to rid the area of a powerful Wizard who has started to enslave the people there. Starting wealth: 100 Gold If you use a class like mentalist then I would advise a good reason to have that class, as they are not common in ME. Other than that, you are free to craft to your heart's delight! |
