2nd edition AD&D, FRIDAY evenings (Recruiting)
Game runs from 9:30 pm EST to 3 am EST (or 6:30 pm to 12 midnight for people who live on the West Coast), FRIDAY evenings.
We have an opening for one player.
Roster is -- human paladin, human wizardress, dwarven fighter/cleric, halfling thief, halfling wizard and elven ranger. Halfling wizards are not 2nd edition AD&D legal but I've allowed it, per DM's discretion. The party could probably use another cleric but most character classes are okay as long as that character is not a wizard. No evil characters, no monster PCs (includes half-orcs) or psionicists please.
If you join the campaign, your character will be 2nd level.
This is a long-term campaign. The game has been running on OpenRPG since November 2009. I'm looking for a player who wants to invest time in a solid, dependable game. The kind of player I'm most interested in is someone who derives satisfaction from seeing his or her PC progress, not just in terms of game mechanics but also from a storyline-point-of-view. The ideal player is someone who appreciates the time spent with his fellow players, the work that goes on in contributing to the setting and seeing the results of those efforts reflected in the game world around him or her.
Players who prefer storylines that feature political manipulation and intrigue are a plus. Familiarity with either
Celtic myths, the
Wheel of Time novels by Robert Jordan and/or the
Elder Scrolls games by Bethesda Softworks (especially Daggerfall and Morrowind) are also additional plusses.
The game takes place in a homebrew setting. It's "low-magic", meaning that while wizards and sorcerers exist, magicka isn't as commonplace as your typical high-magic setting like Faerûn or Greyhawk.
If this sort of thing appeals to you, drop me a line at SobaAddict70 at gmail dot com. Be sure to put "Andurin -- FRIDAY game" in the subject line so I don't treat it as spam.
Thanks for reading and may peace be your sword.
