I will be running a biweekly game on OpenRPG using Forgotten Realms. The game will be based in Cormyr and will also feature play by post in between games to keep the action going. I am comfortable with doing roleplay and combat in the PbP so this means the game will be fairly ongoing with players needing to check the play by post daily and show up for games. New and experienced players are welcome. So far we have: BlackDog-- Cleric Silverleaf-- rogue/ranger DM: Mini Contact Email: miniman1974@gmail.com Game Day: Monday Times: 10 PM EST-?? (generally till 1 am) Play by Post is also required between games. 1st game Day: Nov 14th Next Meeting for character creation: Oct 17th, no meeting Oct 31st OpenRPG Server: Mayhem Gaming CREATION DETAILS 5th level start 32 point buy for abilities 9000 gp starting wealth, no one item can be bought for more than 2500 gp roll starting hp at (http://s9.zetaboards.com/Mayhem_Gaming/ ... 811/1/#new) Books: PHB, PHB2, Complete Books, FR Players Guide/DM Guide or ask. |

Thanks for your interest. This is definitely a newer game format for me to try too but something I want to give a shot with the game and PbP mix. |

I'd like to post interest for this game. I have a little experience with PbP, and while it's not my favorite, I'm interested in giving a combination game a try. I've been playing 3.5e for several years now, mainly on openRPG, and I know the Faerun setting pretty well. For my character, I'll probably go with some sort of arcanist (wizardy type). My preference would be the Artificer class from Eberron, though I understand if that's not acceptable for an FR game. My alternative would be a wizard, probably going into one of the Faerun specific PrCs, like Incantatrix, and capped by Archmage. To potentially allay your concerns about me playing an Artificer, my preferred style is to use a lot of group buffs and wondrous items. I don't much like the homunculi (too much work to use in combat), and metamagic wand/scroll cheese is too expensive to use without DM approval. |

The question is should i play a wizard or a gunslinger? I never played a wizard (usually stick to rogues) and I also find the gunslingerclass to be an interesting idea. Perhaps a pistollier from some far away place in search of adventure? Or should I stick to fireballs? |

I would like to join. unfortunately the only character i want to play gets shot down every time i try. If its alright id like to play my drow wizard. hes an artifact/ancient magic hunter. kind of like a Indiana Jones character. and i like the level progression chart on page 221 of drow of the underdark book. if this is ok let me know. and for reference. I dont like drizt im not a scimitar wielding twink. i have a hand crossbow and a whipdager. |
