The requirements for the Endeavour have already been done for you for this beginning adventure: Recently, an Imperial scout vessel detected the Salvation Beacon of the Emperor’s Bounty in the Battleground, a blighted section of space in the Maw. The Maw is a dangerous warp passage that links the Calixis Sector to the mostly-uncharted Koronus Expanse, an area of space that lies beyond Imperial rule. Nathin Tsanthos, a scholar of the Expanse, knows that the Emperor’s Bounty is a Lathe-class Light Cruiser, a rich prize indeed if it can be salvaged. On behalf of Rogue Trader Sarvus Trask, Tsanthos made the appropriate supplications and entreaties to the Administratum, eventually receiving a Writ of Claim pertaining to the recovery and salvage of the Emperor’s Bounty. under the conditions of the claim, the Rogue Trader himself must be the first to set foot upon the derelict vessel. To that end, you have set forth upon the Sovereign Venture, a massive and powerful cruiser owned by the Trask dynasty for centuries.

Have you played Dark Hersey, the other 40K RPG? If nothing else, there are a lot of pre-gens made for their initial modules which you can use to start with.

 Re: Rogue Trader 40K
I have the RT rules, and have played a limeted amount of dark hersay, though only a few sessions. As far as pregens go, im fine with using one, i was interested in being an Explorator. i have read several novels of 40K, and collect the miniatures, so im very familiar with the 40K universe.

 Re: Rogue Trader 40K
Excellent, then you're welcome to pick up one of the pre-gens or actually make an Explorator if you like. I'm actually pretty knowledged myself on the 40K universe mostly from past gaming in DH/RT and various novels and I'm also actually building a Space Wolf army to play the miniature game with.
I've posted this link to a couple of other boards and sent some messages to some folks I know want to play RT on Open, so hopefully another couple of folks will sign up.

That's fine, just let me know what you want to do.
I'm going to decide on which module I'll start off with pretty shortly, hopefully some others will come along to play.

 Re: Rogue Trader 40K
Since our gurps western game has fallen through, I now have some free time. If possible, I would like to play as the senschal, should have the character done pretty soon as i have a similar character i made for another RT game. Fate and wounds are nearly always rolled but are you using the points buy scheme or are you rolling stats as well?
