The Circle of Standing Water, The Ancestral Ring, The Astria Porta. All are names of a device created by the first evolution of humans, a species calling themselves The Alterans. Those of Earth refer to it as the Stargate, a ring-shaped structure capable of establishing stable wormholes to places across a galaxy and, given enough power, to other galaxies. You are part of an exploratory team on Atlantis, a city-ship created by the Alterans as one of their last and greatest achievements before being almost completely annihilated by an enemy known as the Wraith. The story takes place just after the close of Season 5 of the television series, as the city-ship travels back to the Pegasus galaxy. A certain Aurora-class battleship has been hanging in the void between galaxies just waiting to be reclaimed. I'm going to see how much buzz is generated before posting any official rules, though we will be using the Stargate SG-1 sourcebook with a few alterations (where necessary). We're playing Saturdays 11 PM EST - 2 PM EST Approximately For possible recruits: I am looking for a computer/science specialist and a military officer (pointman preferred). |

Though I've never been as big a fan of Atlantis as I was SG-1, I still think this sounds pretty awesome. My availability Friday-Sunday is a little hit and miss. There are times I can play, and would love the opportunity. |

No, I'm not stalking Lilith, but much like her 'ditto' of my statement on the SR thread, I'll 'ditto' this. Friday and Saturday are rough and limited, at best. On top of that, ultimately I'm not sure what concept I might play. Probably Tech, but that's just a rough notion. |

How about Sundays then? Always subject to availability of course, but another option would be earlier in the day Monday-Thursday. I can't play past about 8:30 EST but I can play from any time earlier in the day until about then. |

Sunday doesn't work too well for me, I play in a D&D game already. Friday and Saturday evenings are best for me (past 8 pacific time). I could also play anytime Monday or Wednesday. If it doesn't work out, oh well, but I am definitely still interested.

Tentative on Saturdays. But I'd be interested. Someone also made a fan sourcebook for Atlantis. If you don't have it already, gimme a shout and I can send it to you. |

I could do Saturdays at/after 8 PM PST, but that's 11 PM EST and I dunno if everyone else is able to play then. |

Well, I think we'd be good to go for next Saturday evening at least, or perhaps sometime in the week after. For now, here are the guidelines for character creation: Ability Score Gen: 32 Point Buy Starting Level: 3 Race: Humans Only All character creation rules can be found in the Stargate: SG-1 Sourcebook (which is floating around the web somewhere  ). I'm sure almost everyone, if not everyone, who's posted in this thread already has the book in some format or another, but ya never know. If we can only get 3 people, I can take on one of the roles temporarily. I'd like to keep it to a 4-person group, however, for simplicity's sake (and because 4 has been the traditional number). |
