Post GMT based groups
Hey all I am looking to get back into rpgs after a long break i am willing to consider any game but I am really looking for a group that is GMT based (or there abouts). I would like to know if there is much European based activity on these forums?

I'm in a very similar boat - did you have any luck with this?

Welcome back to the world of RPGs Mercho!

I'm based in GMT time zone too. Have you tried looking for a game in a GMT-friendly time zone? Or one where you would be available and able to play?

That said, get enough GMT people interested in this thread and you have yourself one pre-made GMT group.

Are you looking to GM or be a Player?

There you go, looks like you found yourself the beginnings of a group!

What are people wanting to play and what days/times are you free?

I'm free most weeknights from 6:30pm GMT except Fridays. I can't do weekends. I've got experience with a few main systems like D&D 3.5 and 4e, Dark Heresy and NWOD. Other systems I have but haven't much experience with are things like Savage Worlds, Serenity (Cortex), MouseGuard, Trail of Cthulhu and some that I picked up this weekend at a convention: 6D6, 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars, Summerland, Apocalypse World.

I've been playing RPGs for around 6 years and have two groups who both have ongoing campaigns that have both been plodding along steadily for 3 years or so now. I've GM'd one or two games during this time so am able to use any of the above systems if they catch anyone's fancy. Though I've little experience with Open RPG further than the chat window.

Post Re: GMT based groups
I would be happy to join a group as a player on a weeknight just to give it a shot. I understand that the technology and the rulesets are new to pretty much all of us so would be very forgiving and patient while we work out how the whole thing works.

If I got to pick which game to play then I'd say I'd like to give 4E DnD a try, just to see what the game has turned into over time.

Do you guys above feel like giving it a shot? Maybe try for a Tuesday evening one day just for a couple of hours to see how it hangs together?
