Saturday PF Serpent's Skull Game Needs Another Player!
I would like to start a new OpenRPG Pathfinder Serpent's Skull Adventure Path game if 4-6 players can be found who can play Saturday mornings, 9 AM to 1 PM US Central time.
Here is a link to the free Serpent's Skull Player's Guide PDF on Paizo Publishing's website:
http://paizo.com/store/games/roleplayin ... 48btpy8g6dYou need to have an account on their website in order to add the free PDF to your "My downloads" page. Once added, you can download it from there at any time in the future.
Please follow these rules relating to character creation:
A first-level character with 0 XP and average starting gold (for his/her class) to spend on weapons, armor, equipment, and supplies shall be created.
Ability scores shall be purchased using 15-point-buy (standard fantasy).
All core rulebook races are allowed. Additionally, the following bestiary races (without racial hit dice) are allowed: Aasimar, Tengu, and Tiefling. The Drow, Noble Drow, Duergar, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Merfolk, Orc and Svirfneblin races are NOT allowed.
All core rulebook classes are allowed. Additionally, the base classes defined in the Advanced Player's Guide are allowed. The (revised) Magus class from the Ultimate Magic Playtest 3 (link to free PDF:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/v5748btpy8i0z) is also allowed.
The character shall select two traits: either two non-campaign traits from separate categories or sub-categories (e.g., two combat traits are NOT allowed), or one campaign trait and one non-campaign trait. The campaign trait, if selected, must come from the Serpent's Skull Player's Guide. The non-campaign trait(s) can be selected from the Pathfinder Web Traits Enahncement (link to free PDF: click the "388 KB zip PDF" hyperlink next to "Character Traits:" on this page to download:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/resources), or from the Advanced Player's Guide (which contains the same traits as the web enhancement).
At a minimum, each character shall provide background info that indicates at which port they boarded the ship Jenivere (see p. 11 of the Player's Guide). Players who also indicate their character's homeland may also have the choice of one regional trait (taken from the Inner Sea Primer) as one of their two character traits (I will email the appropriate regional trait descriptions to those who ask if they don't have the Inner Sea Primer).
The medium XP progression will be used.
Additional useful links:
If you do not have a Pathfinder core rulebook, the rules are available online at the Paizo PRD web site:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ or the following 3rd party web site:
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ .
Paizo blog user erian_7 has an Excel character sheet (contains most of the races and classes) available for download at this link:
http://paizo.com/people/erian7 .
Perram's Spellbook online Spell Card Generator is useful for spellcasters and is located here:
http://www.thegm.org/perramsSpellbook.phpThe first 4-6 people who both email me (
acollins46805@yahoo.com) completed 1st level character sheets AND show up for the first introductory session will be in.
Players must provide me with a valid email address so I can send them instructions for connecting to my private OpenRPG server.
I am willing to help a new OpenRPG user in a private online session (by appointment). I am available any night this week.
If at least 4 people can submit character sheets to me by this Friday, then we could have our first game session next Saturday, 1/15 at the earliest.
Please post here or email me with any questions relating to this game.
Thanks,
Andy
