Due to some changes, I've had to make the game Mutants & masterminds. It will be 2nd edition. Power level 8

Your characters have been recently accepted into a new Avenger program; giving new heroes a chance to prove themselves and see if they are Avenger material. You have been given a place to stay at the Avengers' mansion if you wish and some cash allowance on your downtime. So will you make the cut or not?

Fairly simple. I'm tinkering with the idea of dimension jumping but thats down the road. I'm wishing to run the first game the 28th. So we have time to work things out. A small background and a picture of your character would be nice. Remember they are Avengers hopefuls, so nothing too dark or violent. If you need a time reference for the game, it would after the Heroes Reborn.

I'm looking for a few players. Just post here or pm me if you need anything.

int 4 (2w)
str 2 (2r)
agi 5 (3w)
speed 3 (1w)
dura 4 (6w)
telepathy 3 : read minds, read deep thoughts, undetectable
*illusion, mental bolt, int bonus (9w)
immortality (3w)
no need to eat/drink (1w)
mental defense 4 (2w)
flight 4 : cannot be improved, retractable wings (3w)
ranged combat 1 (1r)
close combat 1 (1r)
shape shifting 2 (3w)
acrobatics 2 (2r)
non-human appearance +3 white stones
dead broke +2 white stones
should equal 35 white stones...

Some background and pic would be nice. I will mention this again as people are seeing to forget this part, character needs a reason to join or be picked to be with the Avengers.

Here is what the link contains......
Combat Actions grants 1 specialty per every 2 stones.

Characters with Intelligence of 1 can only have 8 actions. Characters with Intelligence of 2 or 4 can have 9 actions. Intelligence of 5 to 7 gives 10 actions. Intelligence of 8 to 10 gives 11 actions. Intelligence of 11+ gives 12 actions.

Characters can have only 2 challenges.

Wealth will not be used. So no challenges related to money/wealth will be allowed

Damage will be calculated in total stones total; not white stones. This gives the character a better chance to stay active in a fight. For example; you are hit for 1 red stone and normally would drop to 2 white but here it would 2 white and 2 red stones.

No Cosmic backgrounds/characters

Reflexive dodge cost is Modifier number+2

Toughness can be used as normal or you can choose for it to prevent being damaged. For Example; if you have Toughness +2 if would stop 2 stones of damage from the total damage you took.



Attractive/Handsome: Cost= Modifier number
Characters that have this modifier gains a bonus against the opposite sex with various actions.

Insta-change: Cost= 1 red stone
Characters with this Advantage can switch into their costume instantaneously.

Intensive training: Cost= 3 white stones
Characters with this Advantage has spent most of their life rigorously training mind and body to perfection. They only needs 8 lines of experience to improve an action and can improve an ability with 10 lines (to racial limits).

Lightning reflexes: Cost= Modifier number + 1
The character adds this modifier to his agility to determine turn order for Close combat only.

Instinctive Parry: Cost: Modifier number + 1
This defensive modifier gives you the ability to block/parry blows in close combat. It cost no stones to use and is active all the time. It does not protect universally; it has no effect against ranged attacks, telepathy or area attacks.

Sharp eye: Cost= 1 white stone
The character has an eye for details and notices things other do not. They gain a +2 to bonus when looking for clues or details.

are the 30 stone powers prohibited, seeing as we only have 30 stones to start with?

IE: steal powers, copy/mimic, and trans by touch...mighta missed one or two more.

I will hosting a room this Friday (21st) on openrpg on blackstar server or dev II depending on which is up. It will be at 11pm eastern and will be named marvel universe rpg. This will be for just a gathering and character help.
