Re: Pathfinder (D&D "3.75") Still Recruiting (As of 3-3-2011
Hey guys,
Yeah, it's just been chaos. I had to move out of my dorms and move everything back home Tuesday-Wednesday, and then friends wanted to come over and hang out and make sure I was alright, it's all just been crazy. I'm really sorry I didn't get a message posted, but I'm doing well now and I'll be all set to go for next week for sure.
Neriko, given that we've already got an archer-ish kitty scout, I'm really aiming for someone who can fulfill some healing requirements when they'll be needed a bit later on.

Sorry to hear about the chaos, but at least it seems to have mellowed out, neh?
In any event, i've never done a healer/caster in 3.5/pathfinder. Paladin maybe, but I despise lawful stupid.
And even outside of DnD, healing has never been my strong suit. I would attempt, but if I would be the only healer, i'm afraid I would most likely fudge it up. >.<

Lol, all ya gotta do really is make sure you've got some healing spells prepared alongside your regular stuff, perhaps some restoration stuff just in case. Otherwise it's generally like any other class I'd imagine.

I think i'll pass on it. I was going to do Oracle/Alchemist, but I don't really know enough about them.
Sorry to bother you, good luck with your search~

Hello, I am interested in joining this campaign and am willing and looking forward to playing a healer (my second favorite role-First goes to Fighter).
Before that however. I have a few questions. First of all, what time do you guys start? I searched through most of the forum but failed to find a definite time. Secondly, would you rather a Paladin, a cleric or an Oracle?

Oracles can be decent healers if they just pick out a few healing spells among their repertoire. I think some of our group-members will be attempting to just not get hit too much, but we shouldn't need a major healer.......just one or two folks with minor healing here and there. Of course, I don't have any idea what we'll be dealing with later in the game.....
And glad to see an update, AQX!

Don't feel pressured into playing a dedicated healer if you don't want to. For now, with our current party (and as an infusion/bomb based alchemist), I think I can take care of most party healing for now provided people don't try to get hit on purpose. If you must though, yeah, oracles are a nice choice. They're to some, what favored souls should have been.

Oh, and we start around 5 pm Eastern time (US), though AQ and a few others aren't on the server right now. We're probably going to be using Blackstar Games Server for now since OpenRPG Dev II is currently 'hidden' from the server list.
Whatever class you wanna play is probably alright. I think we have enough ranged attackers already, so some kind of melee-type with divine magic would probably be the most-useful. Clerics, Paladins, and Oracles all fit the bill, among other things. Though I think our resident Summoner summons fiendish animals into battle on occasion? so a Paladin might not be the best fit. Also, my Swashbuckler is chaotic neutral and he might not be the only nongood PC in the group.......so yeah, Paladins are probably not the best fit for this group.

That was a confusing reply. How about the Holy Warrior cleric variant? A domainless cleric with full BAB progression.

I dunno, we're using Pathfinder primarily, but AQ is allowing some 3.5 material..... He hasn't been on today, so we'll have to wait and see what he has to say.
