This game has been very frustrating. No returned emails, and no-show players taking space in the roster that prevented others recruitment, and another night of waiting for players to roll up attributes, to only no-show, and waste another night from me (not directed to any of the 4 who remained on this post until now).

Everything from having this post deleted, to having no shows for character generation, all before the game even started, has sucked out my desire to run this at all.

I am not comfortable with a set player base of only 4. I always try to aim for atleast 5 to 6 since, from my experience this usually proves more consistent and the campaigns future seems more assured. The biggest motivator came from badsdagger and windrider, whos enthusiam and page/s long backgound story was enough to keep pushing to continue recruiting. But at this point I am spent, and mondays are days that I sacrifice from training, since that was the consensus of the groups avaliablity.

I will be running a more commerical and widely used rpg product at this point, if anyone has contacts for Palladium Fantasy would like to take control of this campaign, then please do so, since it seems some of you are very experienced in the system. I will offer my openrpg contacts, if any, though they havent replied back. I will be running PF as a pick up or bi-monthly game in another medium outside of openrpg, though it wont be mondays. I am sorry I wasted your time, hopefully one day we can game together in a more positive light.

I had a feeling this was going to be the eventuality, though. It never fails, even with some of the more 'commercial' playing groups as it was called (rightly so, and I think we all know what qualifies).

The common adage that - "If you want to play a game, you have to run it yourself..." typically is the case these days, but even in this case, such desperate circumstances seem to have faltered. I've been toying around with campaigns ideas recently, though primarily for a home-brew system I've cooked up that needs to be playtested. For those of us that invested a decent amount of time, if you all have Mondays still open and haven't jumped overboard yet, perhaps I can pull something together to run, just for the sake of running a game and getting that experience together, since some of us were 'so close, but so far' to actually playing. I could either run PF as hoped - or if you guys wanted to be Guinea Pigs that could be interesting , too, lol.

I suck as [an online] GM, though, so it may be more trouble than anyone wants to deal with to actually play. I'm willing to give it a shot, though - I know other than me, there's Lando, Starmage, and Badsdagger that have everything in order (correct me if I'm wrong)? I don't know what happened to the other guys, especially since it seemed like they invested a significant amount of initial effort in more or less putting their characters together (Zeno seemed promising, but I haven't heard from him since I last PMed him).

Anyway - if you guys read this and are remotely interested in still playing in some capacity, or at least staying in contact as known PF players (I can't seem to find too many these days), please PM me. We could still try to meet on Mondays per the time we had expected.

At this point I'm keeping my school nights free for homework/projects and other work. Until I see how things go this semster. So I'd be happy to keep in touch.

I am actually still looking for players, I never really stopped. I decided to cancel it in case players wanted to free that monday up for other games. With all the bumps and bruises through the recruitment, I decided to not keep pulling people around and making them hopeful for something that just keeps collapsing before it even starts. At this point I am already commited mostly to PF considering I ordered another book, and spent my holiday vacation reading through the PF books. With all the time I spent I wouldnt mind so much now if I ran this with just 1 or 2 players, though from my experience those dont go so well.

I have kept in contact with Badsdagger through aim, and I have still been putting up rooms looking for more players on open. I probably scored another player, but his schedule is limited. Nothing besides opening up alternate days to run this, and possibly changing the worldbook to Timiro, or Yin Sloth has changed.

Is monday the only day open for you?

I think the general consensus has been that there are a few of us who really do want to play but we've hit quite a few speedbumps on the way to setting up the timeing for the actual game. So i'm still open to ammo's PF game if at any point we can get enough people and a hardset time to play, in the mean time id be up for playing your homebrew system so long as i can still play the PF game when it comes together. Consider me available for all days accept tuesday and wensday, but add me to any list of people intersted in PF games you may be compiling.

Well, what I can do if anyone's still interested - I'll create a room on Monday, per the usual time, and if people show up we can run through a short little something of an adventure that I can whip up quickly, and if people want to make it a consistent thing (temporary or otherwise) while we work on getting a fully-fleshed group out for playing whatever and whenever it will be, then we can do that.

Perhaps even we could do a 'Pass the Story' type thing, switching off GMs, between Ammo, I, or whomever. I'm a mediocre at best GM, so people might find it's worth it to wait for something else, lol.

The first game for the Palladium Fantasy 2ed Eastern Territories starts this monday at 8pm est. Room name will be the title of the post, server most likely Blackstar or Mayhemgaming.
