Re: Star Wars Saga Edition Game
Okay boys and girls, today we're gonna do miniatures and such. I already have my minis lined up for this game, and they all have a square border. If you haven't made a mini to represent yourself, download TokenTool (make sure you have the Java Runtime Environment installed...) and make yourself a mini. If you guys need a place to host it, send it to me, I'll upload it to my webserver and send you a link to it. Anyone who needs help, don't hesitate to ask. Regarding Character SheetsThe character sheets for SWSE are pretty simplistic, all that you need to do is right click on the node tree, select Insert File, and find where you downloaded the .xml file, select it and You should see a new node on your tree. Click on the "+" right to the left of the node and it will expand to 3 more nodes, "Character Sheet", "NPC" and "Vehicle". Double click on the "Character Sheet" node and you'll a new node pop up at the top of your node tree. Expand that node until you see this: (NOTE: YOUR SCREEN IS GOING TO BE GRAPHICALLY A TINY BIT DIFFERENT THAN MINE IF YOU USE WINDOWS.) Then right click on the "Main" node and click "Design" Enter the information on your character sheet into the node. When you come to a section where die rolls are to be entered, such as this: Enter in the modifier equal to your characters bonus in that skill... That's really all there is to it.

When it comes to die rolls, it might be better to leave the ?Mod bit in, as it allows you to easily do positive or negative situational mods. Basically when you send the roll, a little dialogue box pops up and asks for a modifier. If you don't need one for that roll, just cancel or input 0. Works either way.

Yeah, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a macro with the numbers preset, IMO. I could see a lot of people getting confused about that. Freebase variable within a die roll is a little more suited on an as needed basis using the die roller in the chat function, I think. Or just keying in the die function on the chat line directly. (But this is coming from a Linux Command Line junkie... lol) Of course we're debating design and function, I suppose not ease of use. I dunno, I really need to stop thinking this morning... lol That being said it is a neat lil tool to have...

Re: Star Wars Saga Edition Game
Okay I finally figured it out. I have created my node. Thanks everyone for the help. All that remains is my miniature. I hope I can figure this out, lol. Mokin is ready to go for tomorrow and I am looking forward to this, and seeing how we all fare. It looks like we have a lot of humans. Anyways I will be there tomorrow. Thanks again for the help.

Is there a public room where we will meet before the game, or will we be emailed secret password?

Re: Star Wars Saga Edition Game
Okay and good morning. Item 1 - Well, got character sheets from the following people: 1. acollins46805 2. Willliam Eleyet 3. Falcon79 4. kbrn 5. Eldritch 6. Bleak 7. Nunu 8. gstommylee 9. DarthKenobi 10. Lando the Archmagi The only issue thus far is that I can't access Bleak's character sheet on Myth Weavers. Everyone else's no problem but for some reason it keeps telling me that I don't have permission to view it. I don't have any experience with that site yet, so hopefully we can get that resolved. Item 2 - Server will be up at 5:30pm Easter Standard Time (going out for gaming food today... w00t!!!) So that would make it 4:30 Central. The server is called Banes Server and will be public until 7pm. The game room will be opened at 7pm and the password will be given shortly before then. Item 3 - REGARDING NEXT WEEK.... There are 10 players slated to play. Provided everyone shows up tonight I'm thinking of breaking it up into 2 groups of 5. I'm thinking the first session would meet from 2:30pm - 6:30pm Thursdays, and the second one from 7pm - 11pm Thursdays. If that sounds kosher to you guys, think about which session you would like to play. The first session tonight will be EVERYBODY, so expect carnage and mayhem sprinkled with a little bit of chaos. The reason for the first group @ 2:30pm is we have a player from South Africa, plus I don't have an issue with gaming all day myself... I will be out until about 3 today (maybe...) so if there are questions that can't wait, feel free to text me at 724-712-4690. Make sure to ID yourself if you do,. Lookin forward to hanging with you guys tonight. Cheers, Bane
