Again, I have a vent server which I will offer up if people want to use it. Doing voice makes things go a bit faster and it is a lot like playing face to face.

Prefer Skype....I have used Vent before and don't care for it.

We used my vent server last night and it went well. What kind of problems did you have? How long ago was it? My first attempt at vent
was bad but it has improved a great deal since then

I prefer just using straight openrpg. I have tried the voice/Open combo games and they just dont work as smoothly.

I don't care for Vent. It was a while ago, but much like AOL, it soured my experience with it. I have never really had any issues with Skype and have been using it for going on three years now. Plus you don't have to have any dedicated servers for Skype or anything you can add or delete as you want.

Huh, I find the opposite. I think typing can slow things down to a crawl where being able to speak out your actions runs much faster.

Well the dedicated server I already have set up. So thats not a big deal. But I understand that you had a bad experience and dont want to try it again. I had a bad experience and it took awhile before I tried it again

Then you get people talking over one another, the possibility of junky mics or no mics at all, its not as immersive ect

We are on the mayhem server but we dont see a room or the gm.
