Cros, welcome to the gang. Looking forward to having some steel in the party. Some of us are ...um.... a little hit-point challenged.

Have you thought of a name or background for your Gondorian warrior yet?

You're 1st lvl, but you could've been part of the final battles in and around Gondor/Mordor if you wish to be. A few of the pcs are elves or other long lived Dunedain and have some bits from earlier times in their background.

Geran, sometimes called "The Golden", was born in a wealthy family. His father was a merchant, who was part of The Grain-merchants guild in Minas Tirith. Geran spent his youth very happily, playing with other kids and spending time with his family. He wanted to become a warrior, that's why he always was practising fighting the the yard. His father even bought him his own weapons and chain armor on his 16th birthday. Even though everything seemed fine, one day soldiers, at least they looked like soldiers, marched in his house and claimed that his father was sinking in great debts and that they will wait no longer for him to pay them. His father stayed silent... They took his father away... Somewhere. They also mentioned that if the debt won't be payed, then his family will be "dealt" with. After that, his family set out on separate ways, so the guild will not find them, hoping that one day, they wil return home, to Minas Tirith. Geran took the way north.

Now, 2 years have passed from that moment. There's almost nothing left of this hope. Geran has done several jobs to earn some money, but he has to find much more. Right now, he's residing in Bree. He hasn't heard anything from his family. From this so called "Hope" what is left is nothing but a spark. Even though he is still on his feet, Geran is ready to forget about his childhood joys.

Is this ok?
I'm sorry if there are some mistakes. English isn't my primary laungage.

My character is starting from the Bree area as well. I am a Dunedain Ranger of the north. Perhaps you met me there and we struck up a friendship and I took it upon myself to help you and your family any way I could.

Cool idea.

The rest of the party were hired (and carry patents to prove it) by an agent of King Elessar. We are tasked with clearing the Great Western road, and intended to start out in and around Bree, beginning with the Barrow Downs. When we finished last session, it was morning, and we'd recently provisioned and hired (or bought?) pack horses for the journey southwestward. The "ranger in the corner" was to be our guide.

It's become quite clear that herbs are very ... required. A number of us have stocked up and are now traveling apothecaries.

I'd love to get a rundown summary of what occurred in the first session over Skype or something when I was at my niece's concert, if anyone wants to aid me some time.

Maltar the Wary, is a Dunedan scout originally from southern Gondor near Dol Amroth. His family were farmers so he had a good practical awareness of living on the edge and fending off marauding animals and other unsavories. He chose to balance his skills in both weapons and and abilities to better adapt to situations that he might face. He carries a Long bow and Short sword. He found himself briefly caught up in the final battles around Mordor as a scout for one of the many Gondorian regiments. He has decided to travel north and finds himself in the quaint town of Bree. He has joined a small band of adventurers.
