Re: Reckless's Wed PF: Bound By Law (Not Recruiting)
Last night brave Rowan, Kale and Ginsu tried to return with their fallen comrades, only to be "beguiled" by the vile Satyr and his druid mistress. A battle was fought, but alas, our brave heroes fell to their superior might. Now new heroes will gather.
Due to my class schedule, I will be departing from this campaign until I see how things work out with me returning to college for my graduate program.

Dangit..............wish I could've showed up last week or this week, but I didn't get the chance. We started driving back home on Wednesday, and got back late last night. I dunno what I'll do............I really liked Kal and wanted to play out that character concept much longer. Edit: If I do stick around, I may try a gnomish paladin, if I can figure out how to run one that's suitably entertaining/zany within the constraints of paladinhood. That's the only idea I can think of right now besides Kaleverithis' concept. *sigh*

I am preparing to run Realm of the Fellnight Queen if that serves as inspiration to anyone's character development. 7th Level, 20 point buy, etc.

Hey Reck,
I've been working on a wizard and wanted to know how you normally handle "known spells" for a character starting at mid levels. I have read where the DM will let players add their Intelligence bonus at each level, or make some provision for scrolls/spell books found in the PC's adventuring past. What do you normally do?

Use the chart on page 219 bottom right, and multiply by 1.5. This is the cost to write plus the charge from another wizard to allow you to copy from his book..
examples level cost 0 7.5 1 15 2 60 etc.
And take the cost out of your starting money. Remember you do not have to pay for the 2 spells you get for free at each level, nor for your initial allotment of 2+Int mod
******
How is everyone else doing as far as character creation? Are we going to be ready for Wednesday?
And, as a heads up, next Wednesday we have our Christmas Planning Meeting at work and I have to go back to my store and close after that due to a key carrier's vacation, so next week will be no game. I'm hoping we can start this week.

Reck - OK on spells known formula.
I will be out of town next Wednesday too, so skipping a week works perfectly for me.
Looking forward to Wednesday.

I should be ready........still trying to work out the gnome paladin's background and personality, but have the stats more or less done already.
Correct me if I've misremembered, but were we handling HP as max for 1st-level and 75% of max roll for further levels (rounded up on odd levels, down on even, I think)?

You're not wrong. Arkhandus wrote: I should be ready........still trying to work out the gnome paladin's background and personality, but have the stats more or less done already.

Hey Reck,
Enjoyed the first session last night. Are we going to recruit a couple more players, or just stick with four?
