Ah, I really meant using the older Classic RM Companions and using the conversion document for the other classes and such. I wanted to play a Chaos Mage. Although, they might be in one of the new books, will have to see. Recruiting for Rolemaster is going to be hard since it's got a bad rep for being "chart master" with all the critical tables and such. However, you might find some players (old school gamers like me). Have you advertised on sites like rpgnet or the like?

Nope.

So that's no to both my questions? That's fine I'll go with something you listed previously then, probably a magician or paladin/fighter type.

Hopefully some others will sign up.[/quote]

Well, I don't have the books to support a Chaos Mage (RM Companions I-IV). I do have the Arcane Companion (which includes a Chaotic). But as I said, I'm not allowing the Arcane Companion in the game because Eliminster and the Simbul are special people.

To answer your second question:

Here's the RPG.net thread if you are interested . . . :)

What I would do is advertise that you will have an open room at a set time each week. You'll get a lot of people who drop by to see what's going on, and you can chat with them real-time, explain the system, answer questions, and generally pimp Rolemaster.

Plus, when you can spare the time (any time, any day), go open a room, and see how many people you can nab from there, while explaining that you are recruiting for a Saturday (if IIRC) game. You'll get a few folks who spend spare trolling the servers until something strikes their fancy. Title the room something like "For Queen and Country (recruiting)."

Only a small portion of the OpenRPG users read these boards, I think. When I was setting up my game, I got more interest by sitting on the server and answering questions, then linking them back here for between session discussion.

In regards to my interest: It really depends on the time. I'm available Saturday nights, but only fairly late.

There is one person who is interested. I'm explaining my choice of Rolemaster to him. I ultimately told him that the main reason why I chose Rolemaster is because of the Character generation rules. :) He hasn't gotten back to me yet. And it's getting late. :)

I've decided to drop out of playing this game due to lack of players and lack of having all these older game rules. Good luck to you.
