Has anyone heard anything 'cos I haven't. It seems like even before HTML 5 all the tools for Web 2.0 OpenRPG are here. Nice support for reverse AJAX now: http://www.ape-project.org/demos/7/mmorpg.html JQuery -UI for all your slick map on the web needs (except whiteboard). http://jqueryui.com/demos/draggable/ whiteboards are springing up all over the place for business use: http://www.imaginationcubed.com/index.php |

I am planning on something. I wanted to create an App for Empire Avenue, just started playing it. I think what it really needs is a JSON parser. |

sorry, but i don't know English very good - so - sadly - don't understand what you wrote about i'v made one post before that - with more targeted suggestions on Python XMPPs and others with links , but when i returned - i cant see it so i posted more generous post , and this time it seems to be posted ) in topic - i'v found that , maybe , http://pygowave.net/ and upcoming open-source Google Wave implementation, could work too, more info on http://www.waveprotocol.org/ On my other questions - I seemply need reference for succesful combining some open-free web map building software with dice systems, character creation set and some chat - social system.. Only I'v seen - http://www.spaceopera.org/MapToolsFrontEnd/ but it's not working at the moment, and seems - like not going in any time soon. WEB 2.0(non ext-plugins downloadable, even for IE8-) tech would be great, but if there is only chance for JAVA-HTML5-... -- it would fit my needs too.. As i would say for sure - there is parts of whole system in opensource that- with proper combining would do the job - very nice, but I'm - simple player-GM - with some IT skills and basic Python programming exp. maybe - that could be helpful - but - in other existing techs like JS - Java - i' m complete noob, so - can't do the job just by myself, Overall - it would be very cool to see whole OpenRPG with web-browser client, i like it as it is - but - i think - MapTools have a big potential and future in web browsers and so - by growing supporting community and OpenRPG - won't make it - good if there won't be browser client. If there is possibility to make web client of OpenRPG i need to know - where are problems in doing such a thing -- as i see -- it can be possible if integrate OpenRPG with some python web framework(there are TONS, you know) and writing some nice JS over it.. am i wrong? |

My apologies. I've seen some one line posts that want to know more about a subject we don't even talk about here unless support is involved. Macs. So I was calling the validity of your user account into question. Good to see you are actually a real person, really interested in OpenRPG. |

I am currently not working on a Web 2.0 OpenRPG. I do have a small side project that I am looking at which uses oAuth for Web 2.0. This will allow it to access Twitter and Facebook, but it's just something I poke around in right now. The skeleton structure is there, implementation is currently in need of re-working. As for a web based version ... not sure. I've heard rumors .. that's all I will say. |
