Post subject:  Something bugged in the XML map system

Hi there. I looked around the forums here for quite a while, but didn't see that anyone else has been having my specific problem.
Basically what's going on is that when I draw a map in Traipse and then save it, when I reload the map, the whiteboard info all seems to not want to load, and the grid is gone as well. I checked the XML file itself and everything looked okay: no problem with double quotes, and all the info looks to be there (so far as I can tell; I don't know XML, but I know HTML, which isn't much different).
The minis all load, as does the background texture and fog layer. Just not the whiteboard lines or grid.
This happened to me with an earlier map as well, which I ended up redrawing. After I redrew it once and saved it again, everything worked fine. But I'd like to know how to fix this problem so that I don't have to resort to drawing every map twice, which would be silly.

Info if you need it: OS is Windows Vista, 64-bit
Looks like I'm using Traipse, Open RPG 1.8.0, {110114-00}
The XML files are on my hard-drive, as are the texture patterns, but the minis are from Photobucket
I've got Python v. 2.6.2, according to the readme

Thanks in advance for your help!

Feel like connecting with me and sharing your map files?

I could e-mail them. The two that are screwing up now use the polyline tool, so they aren't nearly as cluttered as the first one I made. Want me to send those your way?

I see there's no e-mail listed under your profile, but I suppose I could try appending an @yahoo.com after your YIM username?

OK.. Everything seems to be working over here. What version of wxPython do you have?

Hmmm...
Does that normally just get installed alongside everything else in the C drive with the Windows installer, and does it maybe have an alternate name? I see a Pythonw.exe and a w9xpopen, but no xwPython.
If one of those is it, I'm unsure how to find the version number, but I can tell you they were apparently created April 15, 2009.

Might be I don't have it! I certainly didn't install it separately.

It's Pythonw.exe. To check you can run your system_check.py file. Sorry, I should have explained that. Do you want to connect via an IM? This would go a lot faster through an IM service.

Speed isn't a real issue. My games tend to take forever, so I don't need these maps for another few weeks, probably. Unless you'd prefer chatting, of course, but we'd either have to do Google chat or I'd have to make some other kind of account. Let me know if that would be better for you.
In either case, system check says it's version 2.8.10.1

Ok ... I noticed one thing. The texture came from your HD but it was uploaded to DJ's server. That might play a role later on, but it is not likely the cause.

Try loading the map again and watch the menu item that is titled Traipse Suite. If an exclamation mark appears behind it open it up and look for the Debug Console option. Let me know what is inside.

If no exclamation mark appears ... I am stumped. I think a skype session would be the next course of action. One which you share your desktop with me so I can see what you are doing.
