Alright, So I installed openRPG 1.8 with python and wxpython and all was good, until I tried to run OpenRPG.
All that will pop up is a blank dos box that will swiftly switch to a dos box with some text, unfortunatly at that point it all disappears from the screen to quckly for me to read or even printscreen, If anyone could help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

You can try my fork. Users are really happy with the stability of Traipse. Since you already have Python and wxPython you can just download the Traipse.zip file: http://www.assembla.com/spaces/traipse/documents

If you want to debug the standard version you can look for the crash-report.txt file that is created when the software crashes. (A Traipse advancement adopted by standard).

maybe I'm just being dense. but its still is not working for me. when I click on any of the traipes files (or whatever they are- shortcuts) I get the same black box as before. or get rerouted back to theweb site.

run setup.py so you can download the source.

I would not have thought traipse likely to fix that problem, prof.ebral Do you have some idea what's going on there? I'd have to see what the crash-report.txt said. But I would have guessed some sort of permissions thing, maybe with Vista.

That's been a really useful feature btw; I didn't know that was your contribution.
Good one!

Have you tried setting python and wx to run as administrator?
