Post Traipse and SWRPG Character Sheets 1.5
I'm unsure of this, but when I tried opening my SWRPG charactersheet 1.5 into Traipse, everything was messed up, including calculations and all the things that made it work great.

Download for this character sheet located at http://eclipsegaming.pbwiki.com/f/Saga15.xml.

Because Traipse has a different way of grabbing data from nodes. You should load a new features node, if you do not have the Traipse OpenRPG node, and then look at the user manual.

The Traipse Easy Tree will help you assign to references for you nodes so you don't have to learn any new syntax.

Thanks. My OpenRPG standard crapped out on me, so I figured I would try Traipse. Completely new to it, and OpenRPG in general. Any other tips / info that would be useful?

Traipse is really stable. I have heard a lot of good feedback from users of Traipse.

Right now I can't think of anything. The new game tree reference model is pretty cool. Take some time to get the hang of that and how it works.

Some old nodes might seem to be empty when you load them, but that is because of the way Standard creates child nodes that are supposed to hold the height and width settings of the node's window. Just move the node around your tree a few times and the data will appear. The problem it doesn't show up right away is because my version actively removes the problem children to create a more efficient tree, but the iteration depth is only 1000 ... and sometimes you have to remove swaths of thousands.

If you need any help, just post a message here or send me a PM. Also, if I see you online (I am prof.ebral) I will send you a promo node for the villain Mirkunoch.

Hmm, could you direct me to this node? I can't seem to find it in the user manual. Unless you aren't talking about the online one.

Unfortunately Traipse's nodes system is not backwards compatible (or forwards compatible or any other kind of compatible) with OpenRPG. That means you'll have a hard time swapping nodes with other people and you won't be able to use any sheets that have been made using OpenRPG, including the one you are currently using.

What was the problem you had with OpenRPG's standard version?

With the standard version, I can't seem to start it up anymore. Worked fine for several days, however now, even after reinstall, whenever I start it up...It will boot up like normal, python comes up, shows the "OpenRPG" startup screen, and the OpenRPG application also starts up, however, the application is invisible. There is none, only the taskbar logo saying its up. Can't actually see anything besides the python command startup, and that displays no errors or anything beyond the usual.

Do you have any issues seeing images or the browser list? either with OpenRPG before you switched or traipse, probably still happening?

You are seeing the tree loaded properly (as reported in the messages in the DOS-like box) and then it hangs before you see the OpenRPG come up?

The OpenRPg just doesn't actually come up though. The application never appears. It runs, but it doesnt appear at all.
