I've been using Traipse successfully for nearly a week - very pleased with it - but suddenly the browse servers function no longer opens the window I need to select a server, etc. I also have the regular version of openRPG and that still seems to work fine. Any ideas what the problem could be - and please try to explain them for a non tech savvy type. Thanks in advance. |

odd indeed. Apparently something changed on your end if you had been using it for a week. So .. let's hear what you got What is your OS? Python Version? wx.Python Version? And lastly, what changes have you made on your end that might have caused the problem? Have you changed the source code at all? |

Yes its got me stumped. Running Vista, should be the latest version of python - downloaded just under a week ago. I would not know how to change source code to be honest. Maybe I should just uninstall and reload? I cannot think of any change I have made... |

You shouldn't have to uninstall. Try one of two things first. 1). Download a fresh Traipse.ZIP and run setup 2). Just rerun setup again. It will rename your System folder and give you fresh source. |

I tend to agree; it can't be a bug in Traipse and it can't be a problem with your internet since openrpg works. Therefore it must be some weird thing that is throwing an error that started happening because of either a corrupted file or data. Off-hand I can't think of data you'd be accessing to just bring up the server list beyond something like the settings value for the metaserver's url. You say you've not changed any weird stuff but very rarely OS systems just have a brain fart. So reinstall as above and if that fails I'd delete your settings.xml file and the program will give you a new one. |
