Ok, so here is my problem i've installed Traipse several times through both the .exe autoinstaller and the zip file also. However whenever I double click on the Traipse.pyw icon I just get a brief flash of a black command box... Not even long enough to read through. My question is could a newer version of Python or even older version of Python be stopping Traipse from running? Or is there some file I could post on here to help debug my problem? I also have downloaded and installed both required Python 2.5.4 and wxpython 2.8.10.1. . |

Open the System sub folder in your Traipse folder and look for the crash-report.txt file |

then run setup.py and try again. |

Still not Getting a txt file. Reinstalled Several times through the setup.py file... all it does is rename my system file and all the files are still the same from before. |

That's not a common problem. What OS are you using? To answer your first question .. a newer version of Python and wx.Python should not make a difference. You have installed the files from the page, then it should not matter. |

Windows XP Service Pack 2... Ok, so how about an older python? i have python 2.4 through 2.6 on my PC just so i can run several programs. |

Sorry for the double post but did find out that it was infact an older version of python 2.5 that for some reason was not being replaced... so uninstalled that and now my only problem is that I don't know if the program is updating... i get to the update screen pick the orc one and press update... however finish is greyed out so... not sure. |

Close the window. When you setup the current stable version you don't need to update. Also, in the Beta the finish button is working. For some reason people see the Update Button and think they need to update. I am working out some details with Mercurial that will check the trac for updates and if an update is available then it will notify the user updates are available. For now, that feature is not working, and it will not be in the beta. |
